I am aware of two donation sites through the ELCA. One is The Lazarus Project, a Lutheran school system for handicapped and abandoned youth near Port-au-Prince. Pr. Rider, from Christ The Savior in Geist, has personal ties to that school. He reports that they have three buildings. The first sustained minor damage, the second two were flattened. Thank God no one was injured, as they were in the process of moving children from one building to the other when the quake hit and demolished both buildings. They were literally in between.

The second is through the ELCA.

Both agencies are responsible to the upmost for monies given. You can trust that your donation will arrive in Haiti in full and properly spent on behalf of the injured and survivors.
